Community Guidelines
A shared guide to keeping Benue Talent Hub welcoming, creative, respectful, and safe.
Respect Everyone
Benue Talent Hub brings together people with different talents, experiences, and opinions. Treat every member with dignity.
Be Authentic and Honest
Build trust by representing yourself and your work honestly.
- Use accurate account and profile information.
- Do not impersonate another person, artist, organisation, or public figure.
- Do not submit fake achievements, fabricated evidence, or misleading verification documents.
- Do not falsely claim that another person's work is yours.
- Do not create misleading offers or promises to obtain coins, payments, followers, or personal information.
Publish Appropriate Content
Posts should contribute to a creative, useful, and respectful community.
- Share talent, original work, performances, projects, and relevant updates.
- Do not publish unlawful threats, targeted harassment, or content intended to exploit or harm people.
- Do not distribute malicious files, harmful links, or instructions intended to compromise users' accounts.
- Do not post deceptive promotions or repeatedly flood the community with unwanted material.
- Follow the platform's content requirements and any applicable competition rules.
Uploaded content may be reviewed before it becomes public. Submission does not guarantee approval or continued publication.
Protect Personal Information
Respect the privacy of other members and protect your own information.
- Do not publish someone's home address, private phone number, identity documents, or confidential information without an appropriate lawful basis or permission.
- Do not share private conversations or images in ways that violate another person's rights.
- Never ask other members to send their passwords, banking PINs, or one-time security codes.
- Be careful when sharing personal details publicly.
See the Privacy Policy for information about personal data and privacy requests.
Respect Copyright and Ownership
Upload only material you created, own, or are authorised to share.
- Obtain appropriate permission before sharing someone else's protected work.
- Do not remove ownership notices to misrepresent who created a work.
- Respect music, video, photography, artwork, and other intellectual property rights.
- Report content you reasonably believe infringes your rights.
The platform may review reported material and take appropriate action under its policies and applicable law.
No Spam, Fake Engagement, or Manipulation
Community features should reflect genuine participation. Artificially manipulating engagement undermines trust.
- Do not use bots or scripts to generate fake likes, follows, comments, or support.
- Do not buy or sell fraudulent engagement intended to manipulate platform activity.
- Do not exploit software errors to increase balances or alter competition results.
- Do not repeatedly send unsolicited promotional messages.
- Do not coordinate deceptive activity to manipulate competitions or rankings.
Use Wallet and Payment Features Honestly
Where wallet, coin, payment, or withdrawal features are available, use them responsibly.
- Confirm the recipient and amount before supporting a talent.
- Do not submit forged payment receipts or deliberately false transaction claims.
- Do not exploit duplicate requests, technical errors, or payment reversals.
- Use accurate withdrawal details and respond to legitimate verification requests.
- Report suspected unauthorised transactions or incorrect balances promptly.
Transactions and withdrawals remain subject to the applicable platform rules and payment-provider requirements.
Keep Accounts and Devices Safe
- Use a strong, unique password and do not share it with other people.
- Log out of shared devices when finished.
- Do not attempt to access another person's account or private information.
- Do not upload malware or attempt to disrupt platform services.
- Report suspicious links, account activity, or security issues through support.
If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password where possible and contact support promptly.
Report Problems Responsibly
Report content or behaviour that appears to violate these guidelines, the platform's terms, or applicable law.
- Describe the problem clearly and identify the relevant post or account.
- Provide truthful information to help the review team investigate.
- Do not submit knowingly false or malicious reports to target another member.
- Avoid publicly sharing sensitive evidence when a private report is more appropriate.
Reports may be reviewed by authorised personnel. Reporting content does not guarantee its removal; the platform will assess the available information.
How Violations May Be Handled
The platform may consider the seriousness, frequency, context, and potential harm of a reported violation.
Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:
- Removing or restricting content.
- Issuing a warning or requesting corrective action.
- Temporarily restricting certain features.
- Reviewing suspicious wallet or competition activity.
- Suspending or terminating an account where appropriate.
- Referring a matter to the appropriate authority when legally required or justified.
Where an appeal process is available, affected users may request a review. Enforcement must remain subject to applicable law and the platform's published policies.
These guidelines should be read together with the Terms of Service and the applicable platform policies.
